F&S Elektronik Systeme: Power Saving on Portable Devices with i.MX 7ULP/ 8ULP

Low power consumption is a must in many portable and outside applications. In the past, low power and high graphic performance didn’t match. NXP’s i.MX 7ULP and i.MX 8ULP application processors combine high graphic performance for 2D/3D with extremely low power consumption. Based on these processors, F&S has designed the PicoCoreMX7ULP, an embedded module for portable low-power applications like battery management and wireless connectivity. The module enables asymmetric multiprocessing while also guaranteeing easy software development. For the new i.MX 8ULP, F&S designs an embedded module plus a reference design including battery management and MIPI display.
