The reference design is build around the UBA2213AT, a member of NXP®'s family of integrated CFL driver ICs. The board is designed as a 7W 230V lamp and is integrated into the base of a covered CFL lamp demonstrating the compact system solution.The reference design demonstrates the full feature set of the UBA2213. That includes a current controlled pre-heat, boosting for fast run-up time, proper shutdown at end of life, saturation protection and lamp power control that is independent from mains variations.
