Experience

Jens Hinrichsen is executive vice president and general manager of Analog and Automotive Embedded Systems for NXP Semiconductors. In this role, Jens is responsible for leading NXP’s power and networking, car access, automotive microcontroller and microprocessor business, the automotive radar/ADAS and radio/audio business as well as the all-system offering for the automotive market. Jens also leads NXP’s automotive end market team.

Jens has 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, starting his career in 1995 at Philips Semiconductors in Germany. Having held several positions within Philips in Europe and Asia, such as supply chain management, assembly operations and international product marketing, he became general manager for the Small Signal Diodes business in 2003. From 2005 onwards, Jens spent nine years in San Jose, CA, as general manager for NXP’s Logic products and later the Interface Products business. After returning to Europe in 2013, he took over the Automotive Analog business line. By 2015 this line was expanded to include all Freescale automotive analog business activities, and further in January 2020 by adding NXP’s sensor and analog solutions to create business line Advanced Analog. In January 2025, Jens was appointed to his current role to head the business line Analog and Automotive Embedded Systems.

Education

Jens holds a degree in mechanical engineering and business from the Technical University in Berlin.
