We, at NXP’s Generic IT Services and User Experience (GIT-UX) department, are a posse of IT folks in 10 different countries and comprising 20 nationalities who are not only passionate about advancing technology through our IT solutions but also advancing the NXP society at large.
Enriching our workforce with the necessary infrastructure to work productively
from anywhere, in order to meet the demands of an increasingly digital future,
is what the GIT-UX hub, formed in Romania in 2019, aims to achieve. We’re
constantly on the prowl for ambitious, dedicated and fun people to join our IT
team!
Find out what it’s like to work in NXP’s IT team from our
colleagues. Chatting with us today is Amalia, product manager on Change
Management. This is the first article in a three-part blog series featuring
interviews with members of NXP’S IT team in Romania.
I’m a product owner on Change Management. It’s a challenge each day because I’ve no idea of what I will be dealing with in advance. But some of my responsibilities include monitoring the execution of the roadmap, planning and managing the delivery of the products, mitigating the project risks and impediments.
I believe that you need to draw the line between your work and private time because having a balance results in a healthy mind that allows for positivity, productivity and innovation. Having said that, I do find it challenging to strike that balance, especially during this corona period, as I tend to favor work over taking time off. But as long it doesn’t become a habit, it’s not too bad!
Since I joined NXP In January 2020, I’ve embraced a different perspective altogether having discovered a different mindset in the company, and how it enables a very safe environment. Previously, I’ve never had the opportunity to contribute to the development of a HUB so I’m very excited to be doing this now.
Bright minds. Bright futures. NXP team members create breakthrough technologies that advance our world. The future starts here.
Innovation, automation and teamwork.
It would be customer focus. I’m really pleased to see how much time and resources NXP is investing to satisfy its employees and customers. I appreciate that the management counts on feedback to really improve its decision-making. I never thought a company would align its strategic objectives with individuals’ needs so it’s fantastic to see this groundbreaking change reflected in the organization’s mindset.
I think I would trade places with the CEO. I would like to see what his day-to-day struggles are like, how he conceives of NXP’s mission and strategy, how he deals when operational issues arise. And most importantly, I’d like to know how he deals with the pressure of the job.
I never thought that I could contribute to the HR vision, PR or branding activities so I learnt that there is always scope for learning something new. And of course, if you see your idea becoming a reality, it’s a great feeling of accomplishment!
If you are persistent, you will get it. If you are consistent, you will keep it.
