NXP's Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology enables secure ranging and short range radar. Leveraging UWB's unique radar capabilities allows to reliably detect in-car passenger presence and monitor passenger's vital signs such as the respiration rate.
This way UWB can be used for Child Presence Detection, protecting unattended children from heat exposure in parked cars to avoid heatstroke fatalities. UWB will look for signs of life in the cabin and send an alert if anyone is left inside.
