Embedded Component: NXPBEMF
This Embedded Component encapsulates the BEMF counter module on NXP® MC68HC908EYxx and MC68HC908EYxxA families of derivatives. BEMF is the abbreviation for Back ElectroMagnetic Force.
The BEMF Counter integrates over time, while the input pin is active. This function measures recirculation currents in motors occurring on switching of inductive loads.
The BEMF Counter runs at the internal bus frequency divided by certain coefficient. Whenever the input pin is logic one, the counter increments by 1 with each period.
