Secure Over-the Air Updates

FOTAアプリケーションは、車載ECUファームウェアのバックグラウンドでのアップデートを可能にします。FOTAゲートウェイは、車載ネットワークに物理的に接続されており、FOTAアップデート対応ECUと通信することが可能です。これは一般的には、車両全体のファームウェア・アップデートの管理を実行するコントローラです。

一般的なFOTAシステムは、次の3つのコンポーネントで構成されています。

  • FOTAサーバ：車載ソフトウェア・リリースを管理する役割を担います。また、オプションでOEMポリシーに基づいて各車載クライアントのアップデートをカスタマイズできます。
  • FOTAクライアント：バックエンド・サーバと通信し、車両内の他のすべてのECUのキャンペーン管理を更新する役割を担うアプリケーションです。一般的にFOTAゲートウェイで動作します。
  • FOTAエージェント：ランタイム時にECUのファームウェアの最終アップデートを行うアプリケーションです。自己更新に対応するためにFOTAゲートウェイで動作することがあります。
