NXP OrangeBox Automotive Connectivty Domain Controller unifies Automotive wireless connectivity into a single Domain Controller to simplify development, improve vehicle security and reduce development cost for our Tier 1 customers and OEMs.

It integrates a wide variety of NXP wireless technologies, from broadcast radio, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth, to secure car access with Ultra-Wideband (UWB) and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and 802.11p-based V2X. It is a single, security enhanced, modular development platform that provides a unified interface between the vehicle’s gateway and its wired and wireless technologies.

The OrangeBox development platform is designed to spur early development of new uses cases, to port existing applications and to act as a proving ground for next generation vehicle connectivity and security uses cases in advance of production.

OrangeBox CDC development platform integrates seamlessly with NXP’s GoldBox vehicle networking platform and the central vehicle gateway, enabling other automotive systems to easily leverage wireless connectivity. By complementing GoldBox, OrangeBox serves as a focal point where wireless data can enter and exit the car, from broadcast radio to Wi-Fi to 5G signals, providing the interface to the rest of the world.
