The RDK01DB1563 development kit contains the TEA2016DB1514 USB-I²C interface board, cables and quick start guide. This development kit, originally developed for supporting TEA2016 application design development, can be used in the same way for several other NXP products like the TEA2017 and TEA6017.

The TEA2016DB1514 USB-I²C interface board is a development tool that enables working with programming IC settings from a computer. The supporting graphical user interface (GUI) can be installed on a computer and is available in the NXP provided Ringo development software. The interface and software are intended for engineering work in lab environment as part of power supply development. It is not intended for industrial purpose.

The TEA2016 is a digital configurable LLC and PFC combo controller for high-efficiency resonant power supplies. It includes both the LLC and PFC controller functionality. The TEA2016AAT comes in a low profile and narrow body-width SO16 package. During the power supply development, many operation and protection settings of the LLC and PFC controller can be adjusted by loading new settings into the device to meet specific application requirements.
