The RD33775ACNCEVB supports as a hardware reference design for centralized cell monitoring unit to communicate directly via CAN FD. The MC33665A populated on RD33775ACNCEVB is a gateway router that can route TPL messages from CAN FD to four different TPL ports.
The MC33775A is an ASIL D safety battery cell controller from NXP to monitor the lithium-ion cell voltages, temperatures and balance the lithium-ion cells. Four MC33775A battery cell controllers in RD33775ACNCEVB can monitor up to 56 lithium-ion cells.

RD33775ACNCEVB can be used in different setup configurations to check the performance of MC33665A and MC33775A. Figure 1 is a minimal hardware setup to check most of the functions and features built in RD33775ACNCEVB. BATT-14CEMULATOR is a slider-based emulator which can emulate the behavior of 14-cell battery pack. BATT-14EXTENDER which can convert the voltages from cell emulator to interface with four different battery cell controllers (max 14 cells each). Cell interface cables from RD33775ACNCEVB are compatible to BATT-EXTENDER and BATT-14CEMULATOR which can power up MC33775A battery cell controller (BCC) devices.
