TJA1021は、ローカル・インターコネクト・ネットワーク (LIN) のリーダー/フォロワ・プロトコル・コントローラとLINの物理バスとの間のインターフェースです。1 kBd～20 kBdのボーレートを使用する車載サブネットワークを主な対象としており、LIN 2.0、LIN 2.1、LIN 2.2、LIN 2.2A、SAE J2602、およびISO 17987-4:2016 (12 V) に準拠しています。TJA1021は、TJA1020およびMC33662(B)とピン互換性があります。

送信データ入力 (TXD) におけるプロトコル・コントローラの送信データ・ストリームが、TJA1021によるスルー・レートの最適化と波形成形を通してバス信号に変換され、電磁放射 (EME) を最小限に抑えます。LINバス出力ピンは、内部終端抵抗を介してHIGHにプルアップされます。コマンダ・アプリケーションの場合は、外部抵抗をダイオードと直列に、INHまたはVBATピンとLINピンとの間に接続する必要があります。レシーバはLINバス入力ピンでデータ・ストリームを検出し、RXDピンを介してマイクロコントローラに転送します。スリープ・モードでは、TJA1021の消費電力が非常に低くなります。故障モードでは、消費電力が最小限に抑えられます。
