Processor Expert® Software – Component Development Environment v1.0.4
Use the Component Development Environment (CDE) to build your own embedded components for Processor Expert® Software. With CDE you can encapsulate any library or software algorithm (e.g. EKG or oxygen calculation) into a component so it can be reused repeatedly across a growing list of NXP® platforms: ColdFire®. ColdFire+, Digital Signal Controllers, Kinetis®. RS08 and S08, and QorIQ®.
Instead of writing application code from scratch, a software engineer can save development time and money using your component in their application. You define and develop the component in CDE. The software developer imports it into Processor Expert Software and generates code for the specified hardware and operating system.
CDE is a full-featured Eclipse-based development environment with code completion, syntax coloring, and syntax checking. It provides a graphical interface to create, edit, and package embedded components that generate initialization code and fully operational drivers. You define Properties, Methods, and Events and write the code to implement them. CDE generates the script template for header files, as well as the structure for the source code generated by Processor Expert Software.
